The Palm Trilogy — In Detail

The Palm Trilogy — In Detail

Nothing here
is decoration.

Every part of a LUSTRA answers to the departure. What follows is all of it, in detail — the interior, the materials, the measure, the marks.

Made with purpose

Made with purpose

Freedom tools for those who live intensely.

Handmade

Handmade

Controlled production for precision.

Built to last

Built to last

Premium materials. Handsewn stitching.

The Lining

A considered interior

Fully lined and fitted. What goes in comes out where you left it.

Most weekenders are a single void. You pack, and then you search. The interior of a LUSTRA is built the other way round: divided space, sized for a day, so nothing has to be unpacked to be found.
Four compartments

A zipped pocket, two open slips and a padded sleeve, set into one wall. Divided space, sized for a day.

One zipped

Closed for the small things — passport, keys, the cable you always forget.

One for a laptop

A padded sleeve for the screen, upright and separate from everything else.

One tone, all three

The same quiet colour inside every mode.

Comporta Rose
Named for the light there.

The Materials

Full-grain leather.
Waxed canvas.
Antique brass.

Materials, chosen because they age well rather than because they photograph well. None of them is coated to stay new.

Waxed canvas — The Hedonist

Waxed canvas — The Hedonist

Densely woven cotton, wax-finished, water-resistant. Takes a crease and keeps it.

Heritage canvas — The Libertine

Heritage canvas — The Libertine

The same weight in a muted khaki that works in every light and shouts in none.

Full-grain leather — The Sovereign

Full-grain leather — The Sovereign

Uncorrected — the grain is the hide's own. It opens over years into a patina no second bag repeats.

Antique brass — All three

Antique brass — All three

Solid and unlacquered, cast as a palm at the zip. It loses the shine and keeps the colour.

Leather trim

Handles, base corners and closure straps in the same hide across all three bags, so the wear happens evenly.

The Construction

Where bags fail,
we build twice.

A weekender does not fail in the middle of the panel. It fails at the handle root, where the whole weight arrives at a single seam. Ours are layered, backed and stitched again at exactly that point.
This is not a visual detail. It is the reason the bag is still being carried in ten years.
Handles

Multi-layer leather, reinforced at the root and secured through the panel.

Base

Reinforced and set apart, so the bag stands on the floor rather than on its contents.

Stitching

Handsewn on the load-bearing seams, doubled and locked at the stress points.

Production

Made by hand in controlled, small runs. Every specification agreed piece by piece before the first cut.

The Measure

The Measure

520 × 320 × 230

Millimetres

Three days. Four, if you travel the way we hope you do. Sized to the cabin, not the hold — no waiting at the belt, no conversation at the gate.

  • Two pairs of shoes
  • A suit, or a stack of linen shirts
  • A washbag and a book
  • A laptop, upright and separate

The Marks

Everything it
says about itself.

The label

Cream on Forest, 80 × 30 mm, set into the lining above the zipped pocket. No metal plate, no name on the outside of the bag.

The monogram tag

Cut from the same hide as the handles and embossed with your initials. Or left blank.

The palm

Embroidered across the body of every bag — cream on canvas, salmon-rosé on leather. Not a print. Each one stitched.

The Outer

Even the packaging
is made to keep.

Your bag arrives inside another. The outer shell protects it in transit — then stays, as a plain, useful bag of its own. Nothing to unwrap and discard.
It is the bag you take to the beach, to the gym, to the boot of the car. The one you can afford to treat badly, so the other one lasts.
In transit

Shields the bag on the journey to you.

In storage

Keeps dust off leather and canvas between departures.

After that

A second bag: zipped, leather-handled, marked with the palm. Unprecious, and entirely useful.

Over Time

It does not wear out.
It wears in.

The leather deepens. The canvas softens. The brass warms. Every mark you leave becomes part of it.
None of this is a fault. A bag that looks new after five years has not been used for five years.
Store dry and upright, never folded.

Canvas: brush out. Treat marks cold and locally.

Leather: a colourless balm twice a year, thinly.

Brass: leave it alone.

The Choice

Three expressions. One conviction.

The same interior, the same construction, the same measure. What changes is the material — and what it says about the way you leave.

The Acquire

The Acquire

This is not a purchase.
It is a standing.
